Climate Policy Welcomes Dr. Pieter Pauw As Editor

Climate Policy is pleased to announce that from January 2024, the new editor of the journal will be Dr. Pieter Pauw. After three years with the journal, Dr. Jan Corfee Morlot will be stepping down as editor at the end of 2023.

Dr. Pieter Pauw is a senior researcher at the Technology, Innovation & Society (TIS) group at the Eindhoven University of Technology and provides policy advice on climate finance and international climate policy. Pieter published over 150 scientific papers, book chapters, reports, policy papers, and opinion articles, among others on climate policy, climate finance, climate fairness and Nationally Determined Contributions. He led the development of the online data tool NDC Explorer and is a lead chapter author of the UNEP Adaptation Gap Reports series. He also led a chapter on finance in the 2022 UNEP Emissions Gap Report. He wrote his PhD on private sector financing of climate change adaptation at the Copernicus Institute of Sustainable Development of the Utrecht University. Previously, he worked among others at the German Development Institute (DIE, now IDOS) and the Frankfurt School-UNEP Collaborating Centre for Climate and Sustainable Energy Finance.
