ADAPTATION

The impacts of climate change are being felt globally, here and now. Adapting to these changes has become our reality, and given insufficient ambition in mitigation, increasingly severe impacts are being experienced across the world. Good practice in implementing adaptation can take many forms, from switching to drought-resilient crops, to building flood infrastructure. Adaptation also often requires implementing key policy changes at local, regional, and country-wide levels, and it also requires international cooperation and support. This special collection showcases current research on climate change adaptation, with respect to strategies, policy assessments, and identifying and managing vulnerabilities. Related papers may be found in our collection on loss and damage.
